This shoe actually talks to your iPod nano (Nike+iPod Sport Kit required). It's as simple as putting on these shoes and starting your run. Slip the Nike+ sensor into the pocket under the sockliner, and the sensor measures your distance, pace, time elapsed and calories burned. This information is transmitted wirelessly to a receiver on your iPod nano for real-time audio feedback while you listen to your favorite workout music. Enhanced breathability is emphasized through strategically designed mesh zones in fore, mid and rear foot areas. Midfoot feel and comfort are increased through structurally designed overlays. Internal comfort is enhanced through innersleeve constructed fit. Bisected heel column creates a softer crash zone for initial impact. An internal full-length Phylon™ midsole along with a Poron pad under key metatarsal joints provide an incredibly smooth ride. Newly developed lasting technique adds incredible flexibility to forefoot capping off one phenomenal ride. New plate configuration brings additional flexibility to the already independent nature of Nike Shox™. Deepened flex grooves also add flexibility to the forefoot and brings smooth to a new level all the way through toe-off.
